Along The Seam: An Online writing group

a monthly online writing group inspired by ALONG THE SEAM

Our next workshop is March 30, 2025 and the theme is “LEARNING TO LOOK”

Join us! These 2.5-hour online workshops will be a chance for writers of all experience levels and ages to come together in community to think, feel, and document our world as we are experiencing it. I’m hoping that this space can offer a moment of much-needed pause in our very chaotic world.

Participation is first come, first serve and workshops will be limited to 10 participants.

If you know my work, you are aware that there will be a strong emphasis on memoir writing and family history. This will certainly be infused into our sessions. Each month will have a different theme and focus that will inspire the unique texts and writing prompts guiding our sessions.

DETAILS fOR MARCH 30th WORKSHOP

Location: Zoom. I’ll send the link once you’ve signed up as well as a reminder email the week before.

Fee: $135. If you are a paid subscriber to my Substack or if you've worked with me as a story coach, the fee is $100.

To Sign Up: To reserve your place, please fill out the form. Your spot will be saved upon payment (I'll provide that information in response to your email)

Questions you may be asking yourself:

Do I need to have any writing experience to join? Absolutely not. This is for writers of all levels.

Will I be expected to share what I write? Nope. No one will ever be forced to read out loud. I certainly will encourage sharing, as it is one of the benefits of doing this in community, but there will never be an expectation or requirement.

Can I gift this class to someone else? Please do!

If I can’t afford the cost, is there a sliding scale? Reach out and let’s discuss. I don’t want cost to be a barrier.

Is there a certain age that is too young to join the workshop? This will be appropriate for ages 14 and up. There is a great benefit to having a wide range of ages in workshops like this, so if you're a grandparent, invite your grandchild!

What happens if I can’t come? If you are unable to attend after signing up, you can transfer your spot to someone else but I will not be able to refund the cost.
